ICC Twenty20 World Cup (India)
Background
Working as part of the Cricket Australia delegation in India from March – April 2016, Brandsten Media created a series of documentary-style features focusing on five of the World Cup’s host cities with hosts Adam Zwar and Damien Fleming.
Deliverables
7x videos of 6-10mins a piece. Each video explored a host city, documenting the travels and interactions of Zwar and Fleming with local residents – from the foot of the Himalayas in Dharamshala, to Chandigarh and the bustling metros of New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
Challenges
With just 48hrs to shoot and produce each episode in Mumbai and Kolkata, tight planning, shooting and editing were vital to delivering a quality product by deadline. This was compounded by the often-unreliable internet connections and travel delays in some of the subcontinent’s biggest cities.
By remaining flexible while the best laid plans failed, we were able to identify new opportunities, often leading to the creation of unexpected (but very cool!) vision.
