Nishi Viswanathan, MBBS, MBA

Director, Translational Programs, Health Ecosystem

Nishi Viswanathan leads Texas Health Catalyst, a program designed to accelerate the clinical translation of promising health innovations and move the needle on better health.

Over the past eight years, Viswanathan has worked with the bioscience division of Austin Technology Incubator and several life science startups including university-spinoffs helping with strategy, marketing and business development. Prior to joining Dell Medical School, Viswanathan was the director of marketing and product development at a nanotechnology startup that develops and commercializes theranostic solutions for cancer imaging and drug delivery.

Viswanathan is a medical doctor turned cancer researcher turned entrepreneur. In addition to her medical degree, she holds a master’s degree from the College of Natural Sciences at UT Austin and a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin. Her career goal is to make substantial improvements to health outcomes through translational research and product innovation.
