  • Do I have to make an offer every year on a farm I found on Tillable?

    Nope! The landowner can choose to not publicly list a farm, opting to keep you as a farmer. You and the landowner can negotiate directly using information from Tillable to help you both understand current market trends.

  • Is this an auction? Does the highest offer always win?

    No, Tillable is not an auction platform. A landowner has complete discretion over whom they choose to farm their land. Offers from farmers help a landowner determine a price range that is competitive, but every landowner will have different motivations when they choose a farmer – from experience, to personality, to a desire to help younger farmers out.

  • What are the reporting requirements?

    Reports* are designed to allow for simple document upload to share information on farm operations to keep a landowner updated. Requirements for these reports will vary depending on Landowner expectations.

    *Reports are likely already received from tools like John Deere Apex and Climate FieldView – or the reports you receive from your soil management contractor or your own spreader.

  • Will any of the data I report be shared with other Tillable farmers or landowners?

    Not at all. Other Tillable users will not be able to see any of your reporting information, and only shared with your Landowner.
