A veterinarian by training George has more than 30 years experience in the Life Science Industry. In 2015 he reti red from his role at Novarti s where he was a member of the Executi ve Committ ee. Prior to that he was global head of Pharmacia Animal Health and before that he held numerous leadership roles in Johnson & Johnson. In 2008 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Edinburgh and he has received lifeti me achievement awards from the Internati onal Federati on of Animal Health (Health for Animals) and also from Animal Pharm.
